Originally a pre-1911 bungalow-style queenslander, the dwelling is perched over Victoria Park, Barrambin ("the windy place").

Over its life the dwelling had transformed from a single family dwelling into a rooming accomodation that was bursting at the seams. While these growths and transformation's were less than sympathetic, it made a point of showing just how adaptable these character dwellings can be.
